Special Olympics Massachusetts Event Volunteer Registration Portal

Thank you for registering to volunteer at the New Bedford Polar Plunge on Saturday, March 21st at East Beach located at 1014 E Rodney French Blvd in New Bedford, MA 02744. The New Bedford Polar Plunge is an annual fundraising event organized by local law enforcement (LETR). The Polar Plunge raises funds and awareness to support year-round sports training and competitions for athletes and ensures that no athlete is charged to participate with Special Olympics. Participants who have fundraised on behalf of Special Olympics will be braving frigid temperatures and jumping into the cold waters of East Beach! Volunteers will support this event by assisting with registration, event set up, and event clean up. On behalf of all Special Olympics athletes, thank you for volunteering your time and for celebrating inclusion!

Please fill in all of the sections below and select your volunteer shift. After you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email confirming that you're registered. The week of the event, you will receive a confirmation email with additional event details including shift time, address, parking information, and weather plans. To ensure you receive your confirmation email, please add Volunteer@specialolympicsma.org to your contact list.
