Special Olympics Massachusetts Event Volunteer Registration Portal

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Special Olympics Massachusetts! Events are great opportunities to support Special Olympics athletes. You can register for one event, or as many events throughout the year that fit your schedule! Events include competitions and fundraising events. Event details are available below to the left under "News". To register for an event, please click on the event link on the right to register through the event registration page. On the event registration page, you will be able to select your specific shift time. All event registration forms are located below to the right under "sign up."


Once you submit your volunteer registration for an event, you are automatically approved and registered to volunteer. You will receive an initial confirmation email that your registration form was received. The week of the event, you will receive a detailed confirmation email with a reminder of your shift time, event address, and other event information. Please add Volunteer@specialolympicsma.org to your email address book to ensure you receive all event communication.

The Volunteer E-Newsletter is emailed once per month and is the best way to stay updated on upcoming volunteer opportunities, including when registration is available for additional events throughout the year and throughout the state. Peabody Holiday Torch Run on Sunday, December 8th

The Peabody Holiday Torch Run is Sunday, December 8th at Analogic Corporation located at 8 Centennial Drive in Peabody, MA 01960. With the support of the North Shore Police Department, this annual fundraising event will raise funds and awareness to directly support Special Olympics athletes and local teams. The event includes a Kids Dash, a 5k run, a 1k walk, and a food festival! Volunteer roles include registration, course volunteers, food distribution, event set up and clean up, photographers, and medical volunteers. Festive, holiday-themed outfits are encouraged! Kingston Local Bowling Qualifying Tournament on January 18th

Please join us for the Kingston Local Bowling Qualifying Tournament on Saturday, January 18th at Kingston Pinz located at 101 Kingston Collection Way in Kingston, MA 02364. This is the first bowling tournament of the season for local bowling athletes. This tournament is also in preparation of Regional Qualifying Tournaments and Winter Games, the final state tournament. Volunteers will assist with event set-up and clean-up, lane monitors, scoring, and awards. All volunteer roles are very social and a great opportunity to meet and get to know Special Olympics athletes and fellow volunteers. Chicopee Local Bowling Qualifying Tournaments on 1/18 & 1/19

Please join us for the Chicopee Local Bowling Qualifying Tournaments on Saturday, January 18th and Sunday, January 19th at AMF Chicopee Lanes located at 291 Burnett Road in Chicopee, MA 01020. These are the first bowling tournaments of the season for local bowling athletes. These tournaments are also in preparation of Regional Qualifying Tournaments and Winter Games, the final state tournament. Volunteers will assist with event set-up and clean-up, lane monitors, scoring, and awards. All volunteer roles are very social and a great opportunity to meet and get to know Special Olympics athletes and fellow volunteers. This is the first tournament of the winter season for Unified bowling teams in the local area and will prepare teams for the final state tournament, Winter Games in the greater Worcester area. Unified bowling teams are teams of athletes both with and without intellectual disabilities. Unified teams promote inclusiveness, teamwork, and support all ability levels. Volunteers will assist with event set up and clean up, lane monitoring, scoring, awards, and being fans. All volunteer roles are social roles and a great opportunity to meet Special Olympics athletes and fellow volunteers. This is the first tournament of the winter season for Western MA traditional bowling teams. This tournament is also in preparation for Winter Games, the final state tournament. Volunteers will assist with event set-up and clean-up, lane monitors, scoring, and awards. The Brockton Regional Bowling Qualifying Tournament is on Sunday, February 9th at Westgate Lanes located at 65 Westgate Drive in Brockton, MA 02301. This is the second tournament of the winter season for traditional bowling teams and is in preparation of the state tournament, Winter Games on March 7th and 8th in the Worcester area. Volunteers will assist with event set up and clean up, lane monitoring, scoring, and awards. All volunteer roles are social roles and a great opportunity to get to know Special Olympics athletes and fellow volunteers.
