Special Olympics Massachusetts Event Volunteer Registration Portal

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Special Olympics Massachusetts! Events are great opportunities to support Special Olympics athletes. You can register for one event, or as many events throughout the year that fit your schedule! Events include competitions and fundraising events. Event details are available below to the left under "News". To register for an event, please click on the event link on the right to register through the event registration page. On the event registration page, you will be able to select your specific shift time. All event registration forms are located below to the right under "sign up."


Once you submit your volunteer registration for an event, you are automatically approved and registered to volunteer. You will receive an initial confirmation email that your registration form was received. The week of the event, you will receive a detailed confirmation email with a reminder of your shift time, event address, and other event information. Please add Volunteer@specialolympicsma.org to your email address book to ensure you receive all event communication.

Auburn Regional Bowling Qualifying Tournament on February 9th

Please join Special Olympics Massachusetts for the Auburn Regional Bowling Qualifying Tournament on Sunday, February 9th at AMF Auburn Lanes located at 101 Southbridge Street in Auburn, MA 01501. This is the second tournament of the winter season for Unified bowling teams in the local area and will prepare teams for the final state tournament, Winter Games in the greater Worcester area. Unified bowling teams are teams of athletes both with and without intellectual disabilities. Unified teams promote inclusiveness, teamwork, and support all ability levels. Volunteers will assist with event set up and clean up, lane monitoring, scoring, awards, and being fans. All volunteer roles are social roles and a great opportunity to meet Special Olympics athletes and fellow volunteers. Nantasket Beach Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 29th

The Nantasket Beach Polar Plunge is on Saturday, February 29th at Nantasket Beach's Mary Jeannette Murray Bathhouse located at 213 Nantasket Ave in Hull, MA 02045. This annual fundraising event raises money and awareness to support Special Olympics athletes and programs year-round. Participants who have fundraised on behalf of Special Olympics will be braving the frigid temperatures and jumping into the cold Atlantic Ocean! Volunteers will be assisting with the event including event set-up, registration, t-shirt distribution, food distribution, and event clean up. Exhibit A Brewery Polar Plunge in Framingham on Saturday, 3/7

The Exhibit A Brewery Polar Plunge is on Saturday, March 7th at Exhibit A Brewing Company located at 81 Morton Street in Framingham, MA 02045. This annual fundraising event raises money and awareness to support Special Olympics athletes and programs year-round. Participants who have fundraised on behalf of Special Olympics will be braving the frigid temperatures and jumping into the cold Atlantic Ocean! Volunteers will be assisting with the event including event set-up, registration, t-shirt distribution, food distribution, and event clean up. Winter Games: 03/07- 03/08 in Worcester, Auburn, Shrewsbury, Mar

---Winter Games is the final state tournament for winter season sports, including basketball, bowling, and floor hockey. Winter Games will be held on Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th at multiple locations in Worcester, Auburn, Shrewsbury, and Marlborough. The Harwich Polar Plunge is on Saturday, March 14th at Red River Beach located at Route 28 in Harwich, MA 02645. This annual fundraising event raises money and awareness to support Special Olympics athletes and programs year-round. Participants who have fundraised on behalf of Special Olympics will be braving the frigid temperatures and jumping into the cold Atlantic Ocean! Alpine Skiing State Tournament at Berkshire East Mountain 3/14-3

---The Alpine Skiing State Tournament is the final state tournament of the winter season for ski athletes throughout Massachusetts. This tournament will be held on Saturday, March 14th and Sunday, March 15th at Berkshire East Mountain located at 66 Thunder Mountain Road in Charlemont, MA 01339.   ---We will rely on 'On Slopes' volunteers to assist with competition on the mountain. Please note, these roles require skiing or snowboarding experience and require volunteers to provide their own skis/boards and additional equipment. The Revere Polar Plunge is on Friday, March 27th and Saturdya, March 28th at Revere Beach located at 80 Revere Beach Blvd in Revere, MA 02151. This annual fundraising event raises money and awareness to support Special Olympics athletes and programs year-round. Participants who have fundraised on behalf of Special Olympics will be braving the frigid temperatures and jumping into the cold Atlantic Ocean! Volunteers will be assisting with the event including event set-up, registration, t-shirt distribution, food distribution, and event clean up.
